How the trail handles information.

Trip planning

Your selected Trip Mode stops and direction are stored in your browser on your device. If you use “Find shops near me,” your browser asks for permission and uses the location to order nearby shops; the trail does not save that location.

Google ratings and maps

When ratings are available, the trail displays a saved weekly snapshot of each shop’s rating, review count, and Maps listing. Browsing the trail does not send shop lookups to Google Places. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Shop submissions

If you submit a verification, correction, or nomination, we use the details you provide to evaluate and maintain the trail. Contact details are used for verification and follow-up, not displayed as part of a public shop listing.

The trail links to Google Maps and shop websites. Those services have their own privacy practices.
